Introduction
PawSeizure Diary is operated by Vincent Lin, based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (pawseizurediary.com).
Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials (via Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, or email/password).
Seizure Event Data
You provide information about your dog's seizure events including date, time, duration, severity, seizure type, pre-ictal and post-ictal behavior, and any notes. This data is stored in your account and used solely to provide the app's features.
Dog Health Profile
You may provide your dog's name, breed, date of birth, and first seizure date. You may also log medications (name, dosage, frequency), weight entries, and health journal entries (vet visit notes, blood test results, diet notes). This data is used to generate reports and track your dog's health over time.
Video Recordings
If you choose to record video during seizure events, videos are uploaded to secure cloud storage (Google Cloud Storage) linked to your account. Videos are encrypted in transit and at rest.
Device Information
We may receive limited technical information such as device type, operating system version, and app version when needed to operate, troubleshoot, support, or improve the service.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the app's core features (seizure logging, timeline, analytics)
- To generate veterinary PDF reports at your request
- To sync data across your devices (PRO subscribers)
- To share data with household members you explicitly invite
- To process subscription payments via RevenueCat
- To improve app stability and performance
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate the app:
- Convex — cloud database and backend (stores account and event data)
- Google Cloud Storage — video file storage
- RevenueCat — subscription management and payment processing. RevenueCat may collect device identifiers (such as IDFV) for subscription tracking purposes. We do not use these identifiers for advertising.
- Expo / EAS — app distribution and over-the-air updates
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We do not sell your data to any third party.

Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active, unless a longer retention period is required by law. If you delete your account, we will remove or de-identify data associated with that account within a reasonable period, generally within 30 days, except where data remains part of an active shared household used by other members or where retention is legally required.
